OUR HISTORY

Holy Bethel Church of God in Christ Inc. was founded by Dr. Roosevelt and Evangelist Rozetta Allen. It was birthed out of a God-given vision. It began in August 1997 as a Thursday night Bible study, which was held in the sanctuary of Simmons Chapel AME Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The church began with just eight members: Pastor Allen, Sister Allen, and their six children.

The Lord then led Pastor and Missionary Allen to formally organize Holy Bethel as a church. The Lord confirmed His word by providing a sanctuary at 421 West Pike Street in Lawrenceville for Sunday services, Bible study, and prayer service. The exact location for the sanctuary was given by the Lord to Missionary Rozetta Allen. The first service at the West Pike Street location was held on March 14, 1998.

In 2004, we moved to our Lawrenceville location. The larger facility allowed us to provide valuable ministries to our members and to the community, including youth and children’s church services, a food pantry, a nursery, and children’s summer camp programs

The Founders
Holy Brethel Church

We moved to our new location in Buford in May 2016! The Lord has blessed us with a new building, which is currently undergoing expansion.

Holy Bethel is a church founded on prayer, praise, and sound Bible-based preaching. Every blessing the church received came through prayer and fasting. The church members prayed for a musician, for seasoned saints, and for families to join the church. All of these prayers were answered, and the church grew in grace.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Holy Bethel COGIC is to recover that which is lost and preserve that which is recovered.

OUR VISION

The vision of Holy Bethel COGIC is to see God move in the lives of His people.

VISION STATEMENT

Our God-given vision is that He will raise us up as His people, that we may live victorious lives in Christ as we adhere to biblical truths and are continually refreshed by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It is our vision that we walk in compassionate love as we reach the world for Jesus. We desire to serve our community with meekness as we experience personal satisfaction with fellowship activities and personal participation in kingdom work. We truly see a ministry that transcends all “walls,” reflecting that everybody is somebody and only Jesus reigns supreme.
